Step 1
Create a triangle sphere. Never made one? Check it out here.
Step 2
Create a pentagon sphere using 5-sided pentagons, but leave one space open. Never made one? Check it out here.
Step 3
Gently place the triangle sphere in the hole in the pentagon sphere.
Step 4
Add 8 Speks to the triangle sphere to create the eyes.
Step 5
Create an hourglass shape by making a hexagon and adding two speks to every other side. Align the two short sides and gently lay it on top of the pentagon sphere.
Step 6
To create the legs, interlock two chains of Speks. Remove one Spek from the middle of one chain to create a kink in the chains. Gently attach to the side of the pentagon sphere and repeat 8 times.

All done!
Step 1
Create a chain of Speks using the pictured color pattern. Begin wrapping the chain around a ring of the first 5 Speks until you form a pentagon 6 speks long on each side. Place one Spek in the center of the pentagon.
Step 2
Repeat this process until you have 12 pentagons total.
Step 3
Begin aligning the pentagons along the edges with the “peaks” of the pentagons facing inward.

All done!
Step 1
Begin with a chain of Speks. Form a ring of 6 Speks, then continue wrapping the chain around until it forms a shape like this. Detach the chain, then reattach it at the corner. Keep wrapping the chain around itself until you form an irregular hexagon with 5 Speks along 3 edges and 6 Speks along 3 edges.
Step 2
Repeat this whole process so that you have two irregular hexagons.
Step 3
Using your splitter card, carve out the inner part of both of the hexagons so that only the outer 3 layers remain.
Step 4
Interlock the edges of the hexagons – one 5 Spek edge and one 6 Spek edge – then fold one hexagon over on top of the other one.
Step 5
Now, using your chain, begin wrapping Speks around the edge of the hexagon and work your way inward. Above the side with 5 speks, the new side should have 4 speks. Above the side with 6 Speks, the new layer should have 7 Speks. Be sure that when you are placing the chain, they are interlocked and not aligned. Now, you may notice that the Speks are not totally aligned with the layer below. In order to remedy this, use your thumbs and index fingers to gently push the longer edges inward. This will cause the Speks to properly line up.
Once you reach the layer that forms a triangle, flip the shape over and repeat the process! Ta da!

Step 1
Start with a ring of 6 speks. Wrap the chain around the ring until there are 4 speks on each side. The speks will be interlocking.
Step 2
Repeat until you have a total of 5 hexagons.
Step 3
Start with a ring of 5 speks. wrap the chain around the ring until there are 3 speks on each side. This shape will not be flat.
Step 4
Align each hexagon along the edge of the pentagon. Gently lift the edges of each hexagon up to meet each other.
