Step 1

Create a chain and make a ring of 5 speks. Wrap your chain around the ring and continue until each of the sides is 3 speks long, add a spek to the center. Repeat once to make 2 pentagons.

Step 2

Create a new chain and make a ring of 6 speks. Wrap your chain around the ring and continue until each of the sides is 4 speks long. Add a spek to the center, 5 to the top and 3 to the bottom as shown.

Step 3

Repeat step two until you have 10 total irregular hexagons.

Step 4

Arrange 5 irregular pentagons around a pentagon and attach as shown. make sure the shapes align and do not interlock.

Step 5

Join the edges of each irregular pentagon to form a star shaped half, this shape will not be flat.

Step 6

Repeat steps four and five to create a second star half, position each half facing out and away from the other. Join the halves, starting at the points then moving along all edges.
